You can't pass by Bologna without trying his typical dishes e of those... we have si many! Infact Bologna is world famous for its cuisine and its prodicts.. for this reason one of tis nickname is also... the fat one! so.. are you ready to try it all? on the map we put all our suggetsions of different place spread into town.. they all have very good food but each one has its unicity.
OSTERIA BROCCAINDOSSO OSTERIA BROCCAINDOSSO - this is in my opinion the best place you can taste the real cuclinary tradition of Bologna, it's flavours and products. Also great ratio quality-price. It's super close to us, just at the end of our street but, believe me, we would suggest it even if located on the other side of town!
OSTERIA DEL SOLE very good place both for lunch and dinner and most of all.. THE local place to experience, infact it is absolutely one of the most outhentic osteria left in the city! it is at the center of what it used to be (up til a few decades ago) the city market where people after their daily shopping, were getting together to chat and eat somenthig so they would go to Osteria, buy a glass of wine and eat together somenthing they just bought. Osteria del Sole kept this formula; bring your food and buy only drinks, very rustic atmosphere with long table where you sit near the locals or other fellow curios travelers as yourself :)
VICOLO COLOMBINA Looking for an elegant, romantic dinner? having something big to celebrate? this is place you want to book! Two minutes from the Major Square, great traditional cuisine even if sometimes a bit too rivisistated, excellent service and atmosphere.
We also recommend some very good places where you can have a qui QUICK BITE to take away or to eat outside under uìpour archways or in our beautiful hills :)
MORTADELLA LAB tasty sadwich with a very generous amount of mortadella, our traditional "cooked ham"... cheap price but high quality! super reccommended!
INDEGNO everyone knows tagliatelle and lasagne but not many about crescentine.. another one of our very traditional and tasty dish! here you can have a very good version of it! crescentine a kind of bread fried in lard and then usually served with somenthing ont he top or inside like a sanqdwich... in my opinion, a must to try!
PIZZA ALTERO this is our version of Pizza, perfect for the student.. cheap and square but because is made in Bologna, it's also very deliciuos!!
SFOGLIA RINA "sfoglia" means the pasta we then would use at home to make lasagne, tprtellini etc and Rina is a lady who was selling it and known for decades among the people of Bologna because she was very very good at stiring it so her sfoglia was one of the best! Now there are a lot of stands spreadsin town where you can buy some portions of Lasagne, Tortellini, Taglitelle etc to take away or eat inside. Be careful beacuse is very full on the red days!
Maybe because I'm from Bologna but I travel a lot and I can garantee you that here we make the best ice cream in the world! and really.. almost all the craft ice cream shop around downtown are top noch, anyway I suggested two of them

GELATERIA DELIZIE BOLOGNESI even if a bit far away from the b&b, I honestly think this is the best ice cream shop ever!! I try to go daily!
